This is the digital module “ERMS – Energy Reduction Maintenance Settings” for Micrologic X trip unit on MasterPact MTZ offer. A digital module is an advanced function that can be uploaded in Micrologic X trip unit at any stage of the product life cycle. Digital modules allow you to customize MasterPact MTZ circuit breaker to your specific needs. The digital modules are available 24/7 on the Schneider Electric GoDigital store (godigital.schneider-electric.com). The upload of the digital modules is made without interrupting power, using EcoStruxure Power Commission software and a USB cable. This digital module is used to reduce the LSIG protection settings in order to trip faster when an arc flash occurs. The customization is protected by a password and can be made on site through EcoStruxure Power Commission software or a Smartphone. The ERMS function can be engaged/disengaged through the smartphone (with EcoStruxure Power Device application) or through an external lockable selector switch with an additional dedicated ESM hardware module (ERMS Switch Module). When ERMS is engaged, the Micrologic X HMI backlight is blue and the ERMS LED is illuminated. The Micrologic X control unit firmware (greater than or equal to V002.000.xxx) is compatible with this digital module. Earlier firmware versions need to be upgraded. The ERMS function complies with the regulations concerning the protection of personnel against the effects of arc flash, when working close to, or in the vicinity of energized electrical equipment.
